The Okuma MIV05-1-B5 is an inverter unit. Such inverter units drive spindle motors and axis drive motors. The unit requires a DC power supply and provides 300 Volts DC and 24 Volts DC control power. The inverter unit communicates with peripherals through the servo link, the encoder link, and the converter link. The inverter unit has a built-in control board for motor control. The MIV05-1-B5 has a line side capacity of 5 kilowatts. The inverter control board on the unit is a ICB1. The unit can be used with BL motors and PREX motors. The ROM control type on the unit is 5.
