The MIV05DB-1-B1 is a single-axis inverter drive applied for the supply of instantaneous and controlled motor motion to integrated automation applications. The MIV05DB-1-B1 can support a maximum motor capacity of 4.8 kW (6.4 hp) and the use of mid-range servo applications in which speed and accuracy are the matter at hand.

The motor is powered by a 300 VDC supply and features high power conversion efficiency with the addition of a dynamic brake resistor circuit to enable deceleration functionality. With the flexibility of communication, the unit features servo link, encoder link, and converter link interfaces to enable direct connection to Okuma system periphery devices (MCS). Central processing and motor control is provided by way of an internal built-in motor board, such as in the concept for the ICB1H-S series. The package contains two real-time feedback terminals: a -3 V to +3 V motor speed monitor terminal with a 1562 min⁻¹/V conversion ratio, and an identical-range torque monitor terminal for maximum torque at 3 V. Outputs of resolver signals are 6.0 Vpp at around 9.77 kHz with excellent position stability for feedback. Encoder interface supplies A and B phase signals of about 3.3 Vpp and Z phase signals with specified voltage levels and pulse timing features for synchronistic operation. Its weight is roughly 5.7 kg (12.5 lb) with ruggedized form and compact shape for universal mounting. With Molex connectors of types SR, ST, C1, and C2, it helps in easier signal and power wiring.
