Serving as a dual-axis servo drive, the device conditions DC-bus energy and delivers regulated three-phase power to compatible Okuma motors in CNC equipment and automated machinery. By integrating with spindle and axis controllers, it translates motion commands into precise velocity and torque outputs for accurate positioning and contouring tasks. Its dual-axis arrangement reduces the number of separate drive modules needed for coordinated machine movement while maintaining independent control of each connected motor.
The drive supports two independent axes, so one frame can power both an X-axis saddle and a Y-axis saddle on a medium-sized machine tool. Internal logic and gate-drive electronics operate from a separate 24 VDC control supply, allowing the unit to continue reporting faults when the main power link is de-energized. The inverter stages draw energy from a common DC bus operating at 300 VDC, reducing line harmonics and permitting regenerative energy sharing during deceleration. The left-hand output has a continuous power rating of 2.0 kW, providing the mechanical output needed by the connected motor.
