Okuma is an engineering firm that manufactures motion control components and automation systems.
The MIV0104-1-B1 is an essential component of the MCS (motion control system) produced by Okuma. The MIV0104-1-B1 is an inverter unit that comes with an inbuilt control board that has been designed for motor control where it controls the spindle motor and an axis drive motor. The system is powered by a DC power supply that is connected to the inverter unit and can supply 300 VDC and 24 VDC control power. The inverter unit MIV uses the converter link, the servo link, and an encoder link to communicate with the peripherals. This MIV unit has a unit capacity of 4 kW and uses the inverter control board type ICB1. This model can be integrated with the BL motor or PREX motor and uses the control ROM type 1.
The MIV0104-1-B1 is provided with the heat sink at the rear for efficient heat dissipation. This model can therefore continuously function without heat build-up up to dangerous levels. The inner components are protected by an outer unit casing. Inside the outer casing, the power board and power devices are placed along with the inverter control board. The system is provided with a 7-segment LED that can indicate the operating status of the device. Users are provided with two display modes consisting of an alarm display mode and a status display mode. The alarm display mode is triggered at the occurrence of an alarm in the system that assists in identifying the cause of the error. The MIV unit can be instantly connected to the network with the help of a servo link.
