The MIV0104-1-B1 is an inverter unit manufactured by Okuma as part of the MIV Servo Drives series. Designed for machine-tool applications, this first-generation servo drive distributes regulated DC power to paired inverters so connected BL and PREX motors can carry out commanded moves with the required torque and speed. Its role is to supply controlled power to the motor channels so feed axes can accelerate, decelerate, and hold speed with repeatable response during cutting cycles. By converting the plant’s rectified supply into controlled pulses, the unit supports closed-loop axis control in lathes, machining centers, and other automated equipment.
Internally, the inverter section operates from 300 VDC, while the logic circuits use a separate 24 VDC control supply to keep low-level signaling apart from the high-energy stage.
