The MIV0103-1-B3 inverter module is produced by Okuma within the MIV Servo Drives series. As an inverter unit, it converts DC link power from the main supply into variable-frequency, variable-voltage output for synchronous or induction motors used in machine-tool automation. The device is installed beside the main power supply rack and pairs with axis or spindle amplifiers to deliver controlled torque and speed on machining centers.

The module is matched to BL motor, PREX motor families, so the current and switching patterns are optimized for those rotor designs. Internally, the drive logic sits on the ICB1 control board; this board hosts the gate drivers and monitoring circuits that shape the PWM waveform sent to the connected axes. On the L side output, the inverter can supply 1.33 hp, giving it enough headroom for smaller feed drives, while the M side delivers 4 hp, suitable for heavier rapid-traverse axes.
