The MIV0102-1-B3 is an inverter unit produced by Okuma for the MIV Servo Drives series. It functions as a dual-axis power stage that converts DC bus energy into controlled AC waveforms, allowing a CNC controller to regulate motor speed and torque in machining centers, lathes, and automated material-handling cells. Closed-loop position and velocity control supports coordinated movement on spindle and feed axes. Its shared drive platform also permits an orderly cabinet arrangement with compatible MIV modules and common bus connections.
The power section is compatible with BL and PREX motors, allowing the drive to operate standard brushless servomotors and Okuma PREX motor designs. Internal control is managed by the ICB1 inverter control board, which provides gating signals, processes current feedback, and detects power-stage faults for each half-bridge.
