The MIP2-D11 servo drive by Okuma has a role that includes controlling motor speed, torque and position based on commands received from the main CNC controller. Okuma built efficient solutions for a wide range of industrial automation-related challenges.
The MIP2-D11 servo drive operated for precision motor control by powering on at a 3-phase AC power input through terminals marked as R, S, and T. These terminal delivers output to servo motors via three-phase connections U, V, and W. The front-sided panel includes an LED indicator section with two main status groups, one for the inverter and another for power supply monitoring. A two-digit 7-segment display allows for controller ID setting or basic fault and operation status display. The unit is equipped with a 5.0 A fuse to protect the motor and fan circuits and it includes DC positive and DC negative terminals for handling internal DC bus voltage which may also be used for external braking or power-sharing functions. These ports allow the unit to exchange data with other programming devices. There are also other I/O ports that may be used for expansion or customized integration depending on the system design.
The MIP2-D11 servo drive has specific dimensional measures as 20 inches in length, 15 inches in width and 12 inches in height with a total weight of just 20.9 kilograms. The unit is housed in a metal enclosure with installed air vents and a dedicated internal fan for thermal management.
