Product Description:
MDUG-30-8888-M is a guide unit which has been produced by Okuma with a view to its incorporation into their MDU Servo Drive systems.
Explicitly designed for use in high-end automation and CNC machines, it is well suited to deliver high performance in motion in configurations like the Okuma OSP-P200, and so a must-have in high-speed, multi-axis machine arrangements. The shaft diameter is 30 mm and the stroke length is 88 mm in this model, which provides a good balance between stability and range of motion appropriate to compact to mid-sized mechanical assemblies. The length of the unit totals 888 mm, thus providing the unit with long reach and linear movements. It employs the dual shaft guide design that increases load distribution, reduces deflection, and guarantees long-term accuracy and operation uniformity. The MDUG-30-8888-M has been made using high-strength aluminum alloy, which keeps it lightweight and at the same time strong in terms of structure. It is constructed to provide a maximum operating pressure of 1 MPa, which will be used in the pneumatic system, wherein controlled force and repeatability are vital. The unit works well under temperatures ranging from -10°C to 60°C and is hence suitable for normal industrial premises.
The port connections are made with M5 thread sizing, compatible with standard pneumatic fittings. Repeatability is at a very high ±0.01 mm, which enables very exact and repeatable positioning in automated processes. The guide’s rugged construction allows for moderate to heavy operational loads, but the maximum load capacity will depend on a given configuration and should be confirmed with the manufacturer. This guide unit belongs in the “M-type” mounting category, a commonly used mounting technique that enables an easy installation and integration. In 30 kW spindle and 4-axis servo-setup configured systems, the servo drive offers reliable, repeatable, and efficient linear motion for high-precision industrial applications.
