The MDUF-15-5844-MA Servo Drive is designed by Okuma for precise multi axis motor control. It supports up to five axes simultaneously. The unit operates efficiently with AC and DC input voltage ranges. Its robust construction guarantees reliable performance in demanding industrial environments.

This MDUF-15-5844-MA servo drive from the MDU series accepts a DC voltage range between 283 V and 325 V. It also supports a 200 V 3 phase AC variable frequency input. Rated output currents include 112 A, 22.8 A, 5.3 A, 4.4 A and two channels at 16.2 A each. The output voltage is AC 3 phase variable frequency suitable for servo motor control. It has a short circuit current rating of 50 kA RMS SYM that ensures safe and stable operation under fault conditions. The mechanical design of this drive features a heavy duty industrial metal enclosure for durability. A high thermal mass heat sink improves heat dissipation while two high capacity axial cooling fans ensure active cooling. Passive cooling is supported by a large finned aluminum heat sink at the bottom. Connectivity options include a DB9 serial port for diagnostics or programming and multiple RJ45-style connectors.

The MDUF-15-5844-MA servo drive supports advanced functional capabilities for axis control. It can handle S Axis (SA), A Axis (YS), B Axis (MT), C Axis (X), and D Axis (Z). This allows simultaneous control of up to five motion axes. Proprietary OKUMA communication ports are also provided in the servo drive. Power terminals of the drive include DC Bus terminals PA, PB, and PC; motor output terminals U, V, and W; and grounding points EPG, PGL, and PGC. Control signal terminals include E1A, E2A, E1B, E2B, E1S and E2S. A 7 segment LED display shows status and error codes for quick diagnostics.
