Product Description:
The MDU-04-F Servo Drive is a module manufactured by Okuma for industrial automation practices. The servo drive main role is to control the torque, speed and position of a connected servo motor.
The MDU-04-F servo drive supports the U 2.02 software version which ensures better stability and improved motor control algorithms. The module has 16.2 amperes rated output current which allows it to power larger or higher torque motors reliably. The drive is included with an external cooling fan SanAce40WF model which ensures that it remains within safe operating temperatures even during heavy motor loads. Its rated output voltage is AC 200 Volts which shows its ability to supply a controlled 3-phase AC output at adjustable frequencies. For secure communication and power interfacing it has multiple robust industrial grade connectors which provide dependable and vibration resistant connections critical for industrial automation reliability and noise immunity. It is enclosed in a heavy duty metallic enclosure which protects sensitive electronics inside from dust, physical impact, and electromagnetic interference. The safe ambient temperature range in which the drive can reliably operate without overheating or performance degradation is 0 to +40 degrees Celsius.
The MDU Servo Drives series module can work in moderately humid environments below 90% but must avoid direct condensation or water exposure. It has an 50kA RMS SYM short circuit current rating which represents its design strength to withstand high fault currents momentarily without catastrophic failure. It requires a 283V to 325V high voltage DC input which is typically supplied by a rectified AC source or a DC bus system in the CNC or automation setup. It is featured with two black multi pin connectors which are used for motor feedback or command interfacing.
