Product Description:

The ER-J-7200D encoder by Okuma maintains complete accuracy by tracking all motor movements without having to start over. Through exceptional engineering Okuma developed highly accurate parts that run with smooth motions.

The ER-J-7200D absolute rotary encoder retains position data without requiring a homing procedure upon startup. Internally, it utilizes a resolution of around 2048 pulses per revolution and this can vary based on firmware variation. The encoder is powered by a stable 5 V DC supply voltage with a tolerance of ±5% for consistent functioning in different industrial automation settings. Output signaling is delivered through a serial digital protocol which aids in ensuring direct connectivity without external signal conversion. For physical installation, the unit is built for shaft mounting on the rear of the servo or spindle motor by using a precision-coupled interface to ensure accurate feedback transmission. It maintains functionality between temperatures from minimum 0°C to 55°C without disturbing its overall working. The processing operation of the system completes in approximately 10 microseconds through a 30MHz onboard oscillator which keeps timing precise.

The ER-J-7200D encoder contains a metal casing that joins with an internal fiber-printed circuit board with both position-tracking optical discs as well as a photodetector system. The controller consists of three main components consisting of the QFP processor model ERJ0101 together with Fujitsu or MBM27C512-20 EPROM and DS8830 line drivers that generate buffered digital output. The installed surface-mount stable category resistor-capacitor networks alongside signal protection elements serve as supplementary components for controlling its voltage regulation system. The system contains flat ribbon together with circular multipin connectors as cable interface elements to connect different servo units.
