Product Description:
The BLII-D50-30A Servo Drive electronic device that controls the motion of a servo motor which is made by Okuma. Okuma is a well-known company which manufactures products for use in industrial automation.
The BLII-D50-30A servo drive is able to safely operate at maximum vibration of 0.5G. The typical output power of the motors that this servo drive is designed to handle is 1.5 to 2.5 kW. The drive requires two circuits a main circuit which powers the motor requires voltage from 180–220V and a control circuit which powers internal logic/control functions requires 90–121V. It is designed for three-phase AC power, which is common in industrial environments due to its efficiency in driving motors. It can function reliably up to 75% relative humidity but higher moisture levels may risk condensation, which could short circuits or cause corrosion. Its first axis can handle up to 50 amps of current which indicates it’s capable of driving relatively high-powered motors. While the second axis has a lower amp capacity (30 A) which means it's likely for a smaller or less power-intensive motor than the first.
The BL Servo Drives series module is not sealed against harsh contaminants and it must be installed in a clean, protected environment like an enclosed cabinet. While running it can safely operate between 0 to 55 °C and operating outside this range risks overheating or malfunction. It has a power factor of 0.48–0.8 which suggests how efficiently the drive draws power. The temperature limits for storing the servo drive without damage is -20 to 60 °C and it can be stored in colder or warmer environments than it can operate in.
Frequently Asked Questions about BLII-D50-30A:
Q: How does dual-axis control improve performance in the BLII-D50-30A servo drive?
A: Dual-axis control allows synchronized operation of two motors, enhancing precision in multi-axis applications. This improves motion control efficiency and reduces hardware space.
Q: Why is a three-phase power input preferred in the BLII-D50-30A servo drive?
A: Three-phase input offers smoother power delivery and better energy efficiency. It supports consistent torque and speed, crucial for high-performance industrial machines.
Q: How does a 50A amplifier in the first axis benefit motor performance in BLII-D50-30A?
A: The 50A capacity enables the drive to support high-torque motors without overload. This allows greater flexibility in motor selection for demanding applications.
Q: What role does the 0.48–0.8 power factor play in the BLII-D50-30A operation?
A: A stable power factor improves electrical efficiency and reduces reactive power losses. This leads to lower energy costs and minimal strain on the power system.
Q: Why is separate control and main circuit voltage used in BLII-D50-30A?
A: Using separate voltages isolates motor power from logic control, improving system stability and protection. It also allows better handling of power surges and noise.
