M.1015.6979 is an IP43 rated servo motor. It is part of the YSM brushless servo motor series from Kollmorgen. YSM motor features include 115 or 230 Volt windings, metric mounting dimensions, three available frame sizes and 10 different modules, integrated 2000-line optical encoder, low inertia rotor, and high energy magnets. Optional features include a 24 Volts DC holding brake. Typical YSM motor applications include robotics, postal sorting, material handling, packaging machines, and medical/laboratory equipment. M.1015.6979 is motor with a winding that is rated for 230 Volts. Moment of inertia of the rotor on the motor is 0.00006 kg m2. Proper cable spacing is essential for minimizing EMI. AC line filters can also be used to suppress EMI.
