The M.1015.6979 is a brushless servo motor produced by Kollmorgen within the YSM Brushless Servo Motors series. It serves as an electromechanical actuator that converts commanded current from a drive into accurately regulated shaft motion for automated packaging lines, pick-and-place modules, and similar positioning duties. An eight-pole rotor and an onboard incremental encoder allow tight velocity and position control, providing a compact solution for mid-range torque requirements in industrial automation.

For continuous operation, the motor supplies 2.5 Nm of torque at the shaft, while short bursts can reach a peak value of 7.1 Nm for fast indexing or acceleration. Its maximum mechanical speed is 4500 rpm, so the drive can execute rapid cycles without exceeding bearing limits.
