The YSM212 is a brushless servo motor that features a new motor design and is built to provide a reliable kinetic energy supply while taking up relatively little space in the servo system. This motor is one of the latest productions of Kollmorgen Automation Company; it is built with materials that can stand the test of time and maintain optimum performance standards even when exposed to harsh environmental conditions. The handling and operation of this industrial servo motor is relatively straightforward, and each motor unit carries a type label intended to facilitate the easy identification of the motor upon delivery. There is a holding brake integrated with the YSM212 servo motor design; this holding brake can generate a holding toque of about 1.27-newton meters during operation, it also functions with a supply voltage of 24 volts.

The output shaft present on the YSM212 servo motor is able to support a radial load of approximately 25 kilograms; it can also be used with a radial load that is as high as 10 kilograms. The YSM212 features special electrical connectors already integrated into its housing; these connectors exist to ensure the easy integration of both power and motor feedback cables into the housing of the motor while maintaining the high protection category of all other parts of the motor.
