The M.1300.3503 is a brushless servo motor manufactured by Kollmorgen within the YSM Brushless Servo Motors series. Designed for compact axes in pick-and-place modules, labeling heads, and small positioning stages, the unit converts command current from a digital drive into proportional shaft torque while providing position feedback through an integral optical encoder. This combination supports closed-loop motion control across general-purpose industrial automation equipment.
At stall, the motor can deliver a continuous torque of 0.17 N·m, which is the sustainable load it can oppose without overheating. During acceleration or brief load surges, the electromagnetic system raises output to a peak torque of 0.48 N·m, providing additional capacity for rapid indexing. Safe mechanical operation is limited to 4500 rpm; beyond this speed, bearing losses and back electromotive force would exceed the motor’s operating limits. A built-in incremental encoder provides a resolution of 2000 P/R, allowing the drive to close the position loop with sub-degree accuracy.
