XSM215-325-304-M-2KA is a Kollmorgen servo motor from the XSM series. Salient XSM motor features include environmental ruggedness, high peak torque and fast acceleration, and fast point to point positioning. XSM motor applications include robotic pick and place, packaging machines, and material feeding. The XSM215-325-304-M-2KA motor has an input rating of 460 Volts AC and its DC bus voltage is 650 Volts. A Kollmorgen MMC-SD-16/0-460 drive is required to operate and control the motor. Two cables connect the motor to the drive: a power cable and a feedback cable. There are separate connectors for these cables on the motor. In addition to supplying AC power for the motor, the drive controls motor speed and torque. The wire size recommended for the motor power cable is AWG 12.
