Product Description:
The XSM130-90-302-S-2AA is a brushless AC servo motor manufactured by Kollmorgen for the XSM Centurion Servo Motors series. With a frame size of 130 mm, the motor serves as a compact axis drive in packaging machines, robotics, and material-handling stations. It converts drive current into precise shaft motion, allowing closed-loop positioning when connected to compatible Kollmorgen amplifiers and SinCoS feedback encoders.
The motor delivers a continuous torque of 10.2 Nm, providing the sustained force needed to hold or move demanding loads. Its rated speed of 3,000 rpm supports short cycle times in high-throughput equipment. During rapid acceleration, the shaft can reach a peak torque of 27.1 Nm, providing additional force to overcome static friction and load inertia. Dynamic response benefits from a rotor inertia of 0.00050 kg·m², which reduces settling time after changes in direction. A torque constant of 0.66 Nm/A relates commanded phase current to mechanical output and supports current-mode control. The motor tolerates a radial load of up to 111 kg at 1,000 rpm, making it suitable for belt-driven and pinion-driven assemblies. Its M8 × 1.25 mm shaft thread has a depth of 19 mm for coupling to gearboxes or pulleys, while the shaft has no keyway and therefore accepts clamp hubs or compression couplings.
The electrical model has a back-EMF constant of 86 V/krpm and is intended for use with drives supplied by 230 VAC systems. The phase windings have an inductance of 7.5 mH and a resistance of 0.75 Ω; these electrical characteristics affect current ripple and winding temperature during continuous operation. The complete motor has a mass of 8.6 kg, allowing it to be mounted on smaller gantries without adding excessive weight to the moving structure. An optional 24 VDC holding brake adds 1.91 inches to the motor length and secures vertical loads when motor power is removed.
