Product Description:
The XSM130-90-152-E2-2AA servo motor is produced by Kollmorgen for the XSM Centurion Servo Motors series. Designed for closed-loop motion systems, the unit converts electrical power into controlled mechanical output for conveyor, pick-and-place, and packaging axes. Position feedback is sent to the drive to support accurate speed regulation and movement along programmed paths. An optional 24 V brake adds 1.91 inches to the overall motor length and allows vertical loads to be held during a loss of power.
At the power stage, the motor supplies a continuous torque of 10.2 Nm. For short duty cycles, it can produce a peak torque of 27.1 Nm for rapid acceleration. The nominal output shaft speed is 1500 rpm, giving linear actuators predictable travel rates when the motor is paired with lead screws or gearboxes. A single-phase electrical supply feeds the windings, and the 230 V rating helps keep current moderate while simplifying cabinet wiring. The electromagnetic design delivers a torque constant of 1.31 Nm/A, while a back EMF constant of 173 V/krpm allows the drive to estimate velocity from induced voltage. At 1000 rpm, the allowable mechanical loads are 51 kg in the axial direction and 111 kg in the radial direction, so attached couplings and supports must accommodate these forces.
Electrical response is influenced by a phase inductance of 30.0 mH and a phase resistance of 2.6 ohms. These electrical values affect current rise time and heat generation within the stator during operation. The rotor inertia is 0.00050 kg-m², enabling quick acceleration as the motor moves toward commanded set points. Total mass is 8.6 kg, which must be considered when selecting the mounting structure and associated hardware. The incremental encoder produces 2000 counts per revolution, providing 0.18-degree resolution for position control. A threaded shaft end is machined with an M8 × 1.25 mm thread and a depth of 19 mm, simplifying the attachment of compatible pulleys or couplings.
