Product Description:
The XSM130-74-282-M-2AA servo motor is produced by Kollmorgen and belongs to the XSM Centurion Servo Motors series. As a 130-frame synchronous unit, it integrates into closed-loop platforms that require precise velocity and torque regulation on packaging lines, pick-and-place stations, and small transfer axes. Factory-mounted 24 V brake circuitry holds the shaft during a power loss, and the multi-turn feedback device delivers absolute position information to the drive. This allows the controller to retain position awareness across shutdowns without requiring a new homing cycle after power returns. A 110 mm pilot diameter and 130 mm bolt circle match IEC metric gearboxes, allowing straightforward flange installation.
The motor provides continuous shaft torque of 74 in-lb and has a rated speed of 2800 rpm; these values support gearbox sizing and cycle-time calculations. The windings are optimized for a supply bus of 230 V. A torque constant of 0.73 Nm/A indicates the current required to generate torque. The back-EMF constant of 92 V/krpm indicates the voltage generated in relation to rotational speed during acceleration or operation with an overhauling load. A 24.0 mm shaft with an M8 × 1.25 mm central thread supports secure attachment to pulleys or rigid couplings. The central thread is 19 mm deep, and the 10.0 mm mounting holes secure the housing to machinery frames.
The rotor has a moment of inertia of 0.00038 kg·m², allowing rapid starts while limiting drive bandwidth demands. Thermal models use the stator’s 12.0 mH inductance and 1.2 Ω resistance to predict copper loss at peak duty. Bearing life is protected by a permissible radial force of 105 kg and a permissible axial force of 34 kg when the shaft rotates at 1000 rpm. These force limits help prevent excessive bearing deflection under belt tension, gearbox reaction loads, or thrust from coupled machinery.
