The XSM130-72-402-S-2AA is a synchronous AC servo motor produced by Kollmorgen within the XSM Centurion Servo Motors series. It supplies closed-loop rotary motion for automated lines, indexing tables, and pick-and-place axes. The motor integrates SinCoS optical feedback so the drive can monitor absolute position and velocity with high resolution. This feedback supports precise motion control during rapid acceleration, deceleration, and repeated positioning cycles.
Under continuous load, the motor delivers 8.1 Nm while remaining within its rated temperature range. A shaft speed ceiling of 4000 rpm establishes the usable velocity range for rapid cycles. Transient demands are supported by 20.3 Nm of peak torque. The electromagnetic constant of 0.48 Nm/A relates delivered torque to phase current, and the system is sized for a nominal bus voltage of 230 V. The brake package adds 1.91 in to the overall motor length and operates from a 24 VDC supply. This brake arrangement can help prevent unintended movement when the axis is stopped or power is removed.
