The XSM100-14-504-M-2AA is a servo motor manufactured by Kollmorgen for the XSM Centurion Servo Motors series. It drives rotary axes in automated lines by converting commanded current into tightly regulated motion. Multi-turn feedback reports the absolute shaft position across multiple revolutions, removing the need for homing after a power loss. The frame size 100 housing fits standard flange patterns, and the shaft is produced without a keyway so clamp couplings or custom hubs can be mounted directly. This arrangement supports positioning applications that require accurate movement and immediate position data when the control system restarts.
At a rated speed of 5000 rpm, the motor can supply 14 in-lb of continuous torque while maintaining a winding resistance of 20.0 ohms. A torque constant of 0.79 Nm/A relates drive current to mechanical output, while a back-EMF constant of 96 V/krpm supports operation with high-voltage servo inverters.
