Product Description:

The TBM-7646-B is part of the Kollmorgen range of motion and automation products that most industries use. It falls under the TBM series which is a new product under the direct-drive torque series of motors. Thanks to its small and compact size, it is ideal for use in applications that require high power with reduced inertia and weight. It is mostly used in applications such as robotic joints, UAV propulsion and guidance, sensor gimbals, and others. This motor will allow you to achieve machine automation solutions without the need to buy numerous accessories.

When you use the TBM-7646-B, you’ll benefit from improved machine performance, quick and simple installation and start-up, easy-of-use, and enhanced machine integration. It features banded rotors, RoHS compliant for safe use, stainless steel yokes that are resistant to corrosion, and standard windings for exceptional performance. The motor comes with 12 poles, has a thermal resistance of 1.62C/Watt, viscous damping of 2.81E-02Nm/kRPM, and maximum static friction of 0.069Nm. It weighs 38.0 oz, has an inertia of 8.19E-05kg-m2, and inductance of 0.40mH. The TBM-7646-B has a winding option of B, a stack length of 46, and a 76 motor frame size.

The TBM-7646-B allows modification of the speed and torque by choosing the appropriate winding gauges and stack lengths. During installation, you modify the lead length and color, thermal sensor, mounting, and rotor hub geometry. The advantages of using the frameless motor are that you get greater machine throughput, scrap reduction, improved accuracy, and outstanding machine performance. Its design is highly configurable which minimizes time to the solution thanks to the low and high voltage insulation, standard sensor, and accommodation of mechanical interface changes.
