TBM-7646-A is a frameless motor under the new series of Kollmorgen direct drive torque motors. Like other motors in the TBM series, it is designed for applications that demand high power in a compact yet small form. This motor is ideal for numerous industrial applications such as sensor gimbals, robotic joints, weapon stations, and more. To facilitate its use in these applications it comes with features such as low cogging design which enables smooth rotation, materials that are RoHS compliant, stainless steel yokes that prevent corrosion, and banded rotors.
The TBM-7646-A comes in a quality construction thanks to the encapsulated stator windings, high-performance magnets, and 155-degree internal winding temperature continuous capability. It is ideal for applications that generate heat during operation. It is CE compliant and comes with laser marked armatures for improved performance. It has an A winding type, 46 stack length, and a motor frame size of 76. This type does not feature hall sensors. The TBM-7646-A allows for modification during installation. You can change the color of the lead and choose between 400mm and 1200mm lead length. The rotor hub geometry provides you with numerous options such as hollow, round, flanged, flat, and keyway.
To suit your speed and torque needs, you can change the winding gauges and stack lengths. Its parameters include a continuous stall torque of 2.18Nm, a continuous current of 9.63Arms, a peak current of 29.4Arms, and a design voltage of 33.9Vms. The TBM-7646-A has a mass of 1079 grams, inertia of 8.19E-05 kgm2, and maximum static friction of 0.068Nm. The operator should use shielded PUR industrial cables wit RJ45 connection to ensure optimum performance in an industrial setting.
