Product Description:
The SS2000I-V100 is a smart stepper motor drive from the SS2000 SLO-SYN family that offers maximum programmability and I/O flexibility for advanced motion control.
The unit is capable of operation over a broad range of input voltages (95-265 VAC at 50/60 Hz) and therefore it suits power requirements in any location. The protection is provided with an inbuilt protection in a standard Type 3AG fuse. This is a 2-ampere and 250-volt fuse whose resistance will act as a protective mechanism against overcurrents within the system when it is in use. The core of the SS2000I-V100 is a 16-bit microcontroller operating at a frequency of 16MHz and driving the motion control logic of the unit, as well as embedded capabilities. It also has an internal 12 VDC optical I/O power supply, which assists in minimizing external wires. The drive accepts 8 programmable (optically isolated) input voltages (5-24 VDC) and has 4 (optically isolated) output voltages (5-24 VDC, 250 mA) that facilitate easy integration with sensors, switches, and actuators. It also has 8 general-purpose logic inputs and 4 sinking open-collector outputs to connect to longer-range interfacing.
Proportional control is possible using an analog input (0–10 V, 10-bit resolution), which is typically used in cases where either a speed or torque command is to be set. The encoder input is able to have a maximum of 2 million counts per second, which is why the encoder is used in high-resolution positioning and feedback. Cooperation shall be via RS232 or RS485 on host control, and auxiliary RS485 port supporting a multi-device network. The programmable sinks have an output voltage up to 25 V max and output a programmable current of 1.5 V at 250 mA. The drive can operate stably in temperature that varies from 0 to 50 degrees Celsius under ordinary circumstances. It may be kept at temperatures between -40 and 75 degrees Celsius. It measures 69.57 mm x 179.32 mm x 96.2 mm and is compact and powerful, and ideal as a source of advanced motion control in automation, packaging, and robotics.
