Product Description
The Kollmorgen SS2000D6 is a bipolar, speed adjustable two-phase chopper drive that uses MOSFET and IGBT devices. The drive can be set to operate a stepper motor in full or half steps or in 1/5, 1/10, 1/16, 1/36, 1/50, 1/00, 1/125 or 1/125 microsteps. The maximum supported running speed is 10,000 full steps per second. Control signals on the drive are isolated from the drive circuit. Other features available on the SS2000D6 include AC line filter and MOV, unlatched undervoltage and transient overvoltage protection, latched short-circuit protection and self-test function. The SS2000D6 is a UL listed device. The drive uses modern solid-state electronics: in some cases, it produces electromagnetic interference. Therefore, a solid connection should be provided to the system ground, and signal power wiring should be kept well separated.
The SS2000D6 drive is installed vertically by fastening is mounting brackets to a flat surface. Dimensions of the drive are 277 x 93 x 141 millimeters. The temperature of the surface of the drive housing should not exceed 158 degrees Fahrenheit. Forced air cooling may be required to maintain temperature within the stated limits. At least 51 millimeters of space should be left around the top, bottom, and sides of the unit for the airflow required for cooling. Weight of the SS2000D6 is 6.5 pounds. The AC input range is 90 to 132 Volts AC (50/60 Hertz). The AC input current is 7 Amps. The fuse on the drive is rated for 250 Volts / 8 Amps. The worse-case drive heat dissipation is 50 Watts. The SS2000D6 is compatible with KML060 – KML093 and M061 – MH112 motors. Using motors with larger frame sizes than those specified can lead to drive damage.
