Product Description:
SS2000D-6i is a programmable motion controller. It is a Kollmorgen product. The controller is designed for stepper motor control. It has two components: a controller and a drive unit. The controller based on a microcontroller chip that performs tasks for executing complex user programs such as digital I/O control, stepper motor profiles, serial communications, drive section interface, and encoder inputs. The powerful controller con be configured via the Motion Controller Programming Interface (MCPI). MCPI is a Microsoft Windows based GUI which facilitates system configuration with an easy to use language. The second component is a Kollmorgen SS2000 motor drive with power supply. This drive is protected against low and high AC input, motor short circuit and ground faults. The drive comes with an integrated AC line filter. MOV?s provide transient protection.
Input voltage for the SS2000D-6i is 90 to 132 Volts AC. The AC input current is 7 Amps. Its power dissipation is 50 Watts. Rating of the fuse is 250 Volts and 8 Amps. Weight of the motion controller is 3.53 kilograms. Its dimensions are 93.3 x 277 x 152 millimeters. The operating temperature range is 0 to 50 degrees Celsius and the storage temperature range is -40 to 75 degrees Celsius. The maximum permitted non-condensing humidity is 95%. Kollmorgen recommends maximum 3000 meter altitude for operation. Electrical specifications for the 12 Volts DC I/O on the unit are 11.5 to 14 Volts DC at 100 milliamps. Serial port 1 on the SS2000D-6i is configurable for RS-232C or RS-485. When configured for RS-485 four wire mode, a 120 Ohm termination resistor must be used to terminate the transmission line must be terminated at the opposite end.
