Product Description:
Engineered by Kollmorgen, the 3180-PTO module arrives with a wide 95-265 VAC input voltage range, ensuring compatibility across diverse power systems. Representing the SS2000 SLO-SYN Drives series, it operates on 50/60 Hertz AC frequency which supports both global mains standards. It consists of an integrated 250V, 2A type 3AG fuse safeguards circuitry by interrupting excessive current before the damage can occur. Enclosed within 2.74 × 7.06 × 3.79 inches case, this device compact dimensions allow installation in tight control panels.
The metric equivalent 69.57 × 179.32 × 96.2 mm form factor provides space efficiency in industrial racks. A mass of 7.75 lbs. (3.52 kg) delivers stability without an excessive weight burden on mounting process. The product also features built‑in line filtering that filters noise from mains supply and maintains consistent signal transmission. The current foldback on DC outputs protects downstream components by reducing output current when demand spikes. 8 optically isolated digital inputs rated 5-24 VDC offer flexibility for interfacing with various sensors. 4 optically isolated digital outputs at 5-24 VDC and 250 mA allow reliable signaling to external relays.
Capability for 0–10 V analog input with 10‑bit resolution enables this drive for a precise feedback control with 1024 discrete steps. Further, it remains operational from 32 to 122°F (0 to 50°C) which suits typical industrial environments. The device survives storage between -40 to 167°F (–40 to 75°C) that also maintains durability during loading and shipping. A further specification found on Kollmorgen’s datasheet lists a maximum continuous current output of 5A per phase which supports sustained motor torque. This measured value shows a typical efficiency of 93% at 2A output, thus optimizing power usage. The Modbus RTU communication port also enables networked control and diagnostics.
