The polyester impregnated armature provides mechanical and electrical integrity. The motor has a rugged and fused commutator for reliable operation. Large sealed bearings are standard features and provide long operational life. The motor is equipped with long life constant force brush springs and the brushes and field replaceable. It has a TEFC enclosure. TEFC stands for Totally Enclosed Fan Cooled. The motor casing is completely enclosed, preventing ingress of contaminants and moisture into the motor interior. The enclosure is made of metal and is designed to withstand external stresses and provide protection to the internal components of the motor.
