The SR5340-5370-45B is a permanent-magnet DC motor built by Kollmorgen and offered under the SR and SRF Permanent Magnet Motors series. In automated machinery, the unit converts electrical energy into rotational motion without requiring field-winding excitation. It can drive pumps, indexing tables, or gearboxes, while its permanent-magnet design simplifies wiring and eliminates the electrical power that a wound field would otherwise consume. The motor can be connected to a suitable speed controller when an application requires adjustable output rather than direct operation at its nominal point.
The motor is designed for a nominal terminal voltage of 220 V, which is the supply level used for rated operation. At that voltage, the armature draws 17.0 A, a value that must be considered when selecting conductors, fuses, contactors, and drive electronics. Mechanical output reaches 4 HP, providing continuous shaft power for the connected load when the motor operates within its thermal limits.
