The SR30000-Y011 servo amplifier is produced by Kollmorgen within the SP Servostar Servo Drives series. As a closed-loop power stage, it interfaces between a motion controller and a three-phase servo motor, converting DC bus energy into controlled phase currents to execute precise velocity, torque, and position commands in industrial automation lines. It processes resolver feedback to monitor rotor position, enabling synchronized motion for packaging, printing, or material-handling axes where dynamic response and compact cabinet space are critical.

At full load, the drive delivers a continuous output of 11 kW while supplying a rated armature current of 30 A RMS from the inverter section. During acceleration bursts, it supplies up to 60 A RMS, permitting short-term torque peaks without saturation. Current commands are refreshed every 62.5 µs, and pulse-width modulation at 8 kHz with a carrier ripple of 16 kHz shapes the motor waveform. The analog velocity input has a sensitivity of 1.53 mV, so small command changes produce measurable speed shifts. Field wiring can source 60 mA through the configurable digital outputs, and a Form-C fault relay switches 1 A at 24 VDC for system interlocks. Resolver feedback closes the speed loop, while 254 W of internal heat is removed through the baseplate. The DC link accepts 13.33 kW of power from the rectifier stage.

Closed-loop accuracy is maintained within 0.01% of the commanded speed, allowing the axis to hold a constant velocity despite load or supply variations. Protective thresholds disconnect the power stage if the DC bus rises to 430 VDC or if the heat sink reaches 90 °C, preventing component stress. The housing weighs 5.2 kg, making panel installation manageable in multi-axis racks. These protective functions respond automatically to excessive bus voltage and heat sink temperature during operation. The baseplate cooling path also helps control the internal losses produced under demanding duty cycles.
