The SR30000-Y011 is a large digital servo amplifier manufactured and engineered by Kollmorgen for Goldline motors. Part of the Servostar product line, the SR30000-Y011 delivers a continuous RMS current of 30 amperes per phase, assuming rated conditions. This digital drive operates at a DC bus voltage range of 255 to 360 V. For a maximum period of 2 seconds, this servo drive can safely accommodate an output peak current of 60 amperes per phase. This output peak capability is important for ensuring inrush currents from motors are safely accommodated. At the continuous output current, the corresponding continuous power developed by the drive is around 11 kW.
As a relatively large digital amplifier, the SR30000-Y011 dissipates larger power during operation. At rated operating conditions, the SR30000-Y011 can dissipate up to 254 watts of power. Unlike smaller drives, this digital Kollmorgen drive can only accommodate a maximum PWM switching frequency of up to 8 kHz. For maximum performance, this digital drive must be operated within its permissible ambient temperature range of 0 to 45 degrees Celsius. Beyond this admissible range, the product exhibits reduced performance.
