The SMC-401 401 Bipolar Chopper Driver Full/Half Stepping Programmable Motion Controller guarantees compatibility with a variety of stepper motor configurations by operating within an input voltage range of 16-32 VDC and offering current ratings of 2A and 4A. In addition to home and limit inputs, the controller features four programmable general-purpose inputs. These inputs allow for a wide range of control configurations to be developed. An "E" stop position capture input, four programmable general-purpose outputs, and a special busy output are also part of the controller. A dedicated, busy output is one of the additional characteristics. The utilization of an RS-232C serial interface makes communication more straightforward.
