The SMC-300 is a powerful motion controller made for precise motion control and smooth timing in industrial automation settings. The Kollmorgen controller can connect up to 32 axes and has a synchronization cycle of 4ms, so it can be used in situations where time and control need to be very accurate.

The SMC-300 motion controller has EtherCAT communication that can send data at 10/100 Mbps, and the Modbus TCP protocol makes it easy to connect to Ethernet-based devices. The controller supports RS485 serial transmission with COM1 and baud rates between 4800 and 115200. You can only use a Type-C USB interface and IPv4 network setups to download programs and debug them. The motion controller follows the IEC 61131-3 programming standards that allow you to use different programming languages like LD, FBD, IL, ST, SFC, and CFC. It has 512KB of power-down storage and 10MB of program data storage and can save data for 1.7 seconds after powering down. The power that it takes in is 24V ± 10% at 3A. The unit is on a 35mm DIN rail and can be installed in a variety of ways.

The SMC-300 controller can work in temperatures from -10°C to +55°C and can be stored in temperatures from -25°C to 80°C. The controller can work at up to 2000 meters above sea level and in relative humidity ranges from 5 to 95% without fog. Protected to IP20 standards, this SMC controller uses natural cooling to get rid of heat. The controller stays in line with pollution level 2 and has an undervoltage level of 18V.
