The SL3401-01000 is an AC motor drive manufactured by Kollmorgen as part of the SL3000 AC Motor Drives series. It supplies variable-frequency power to standard induction motors, allowing closed-loop speed and torque regulation in automated material-handling, pumping, and processing lines. By integrating the rectifier, inverter, and control electronics into a single housing, the unit simplifies cabinet wiring and reduces the number of external components needed around the motor control section. This arrangement also supports coordinated motion control with PLCs and other plant devices where stable speed response is important during changing load conditions.
The drive’s chassis depth is 7.06 in, and it is protected by a NEMA 4/12 enclosure for use in areas exposed to dust or non-corrosive splashing fluids. An input power factor of 0.95 reduces reactive current on the supply bus, which helps the upstream electrical system operate more efficiently. The inverter delivers a continuous mechanical output of 1 HP and can tolerate an overload of 150% for 60 s, giving added margin during acceleration or brief process disturbances.
