The S7720F-FBF2-NA is a digital servo amplifier manufactured by Kollmorgen to carry out the accurate control of the speed, position, and torque output of synchronous, asynchronous, and DC industrial motor designs. The servo amplifier is designed according to the IP20 protection class, it features a modular design and requires installation into a closed control cabinet before operation. The servo amplifier contain electrostatically sensitive components that can be damaged by incorrect handing, operators are required to ensure that they are properly discharged before touching the servo amplifier, also contact with highly insulating materials such as artificial fabrics and plastic films should be avoided. A special 3-character LED display is integrated into the from panel of this servo amplifier, it displays operation status through special codes.

The rated supply voltage of this servo amplifier is between 208 to about 480 volts, the servo amplifier also requires a rated input power of about 50 Kilovolts amperes for continuous operation. The current rating of the amplifier is 72 amperes, however the amplifier can also generate an output current as high as 140 amperes for approximately 5 seconds. The total weight of the servo amplifier is 13 kilograms.

The S7720F-FBF2-NA digital servo amplifier is integrated with two expansion cards; the FB-2to1 and the Fan controller expansion card. These expansion cards expand the functionality of the servo amplifier, the FB-2to1 expansion card enables simultaneous connection of a digital primary and or analog secondary feedback to the X1 connector on the amplifier, while the Fan controller expansion card reduce the noise generated by the amplifier by reducing the speed or the built-in air blower by up to 50 percent depending on the temperature in the device.
