Product Description:
The Kollmorgen S7720F-EIF2-S4 digital servo amplifier controls a 24 V holding brake of a motor. This servo amplifier is brought to standstill mode after an error message is displayed. The product behavior is determined by the setting of various parameters. This device executes the Stop command to shut down the machine in which it is installed during normal operation. The unit features an STO function corresponding to stop category 0 as per EN 60204-1 specifications. It is not capable of holding a vertical load when the STO function is active. This amplifier has a leakage current of more than 3.5 mA to the protective earth.
The product is a three-phase system with a B6 bridge. This device poses a risk of electric shock if it is not EMC-grounded properly. This device must have adequate ventilation inside the control cabinet. The unit has live electrical connections during the operation phase. Its status is monitored by the PLC for acknowledging critical situations. The amplifier related power and control cables must be routed separately.
The product should have a shielding connection to the front panel. This device is meant to be connected with cables provided by the manufacturer. The unit should be used with an isolating transformer when it is used with an asymmetrically grounded 400 V to 480 V network. Its DC bus link connection is established at the X8 terminals. This servo amplifier has the ability to protect the related motor from overheating. The product has an oscillating circuit for its power output with the motor winding as well as the motor supply cable.
