The S7720F-2CF2-NA is a Kollmorgen control unit from the S700 Servo Drives series. It accepts three-phase AC line power and generates the regulated motor currents required for coordinated axis motion in packaging, machining, and material-handling systems. Continuous brake power of 8 kW can be dissipated through an external brake resistor rated at 10 ohms, and a factory-installed fan control expansion card regulates airflow over the heat sink. Forced airflow over the heat sink helps maintain stable internal temperature during sustained operation in enclosed cabinets. The unit is available with standard or coated PCBs, and the coated option helps protect against moisture and conductive dust. Its 190 mm width also helps the drive fit compact machine layouts that still need high current density.
