Product Description:

The S7720C-SNF2-S3 digital servo amplifier by Kollmorgen is intended to be operated only for industrial use. This servo amplifier is fed with energy with the help of a motor during a braking operation. The product has a special procedure for switching off its output stage when the holding brake function is enabled. This device tends to restart after it has been turned on if the AENA parameter is set to 1. The unit can be enabled only after waiting for the ready acknowledge signal of the safety card. It has a TUV-certified STO function and can implement the stop, emergency stop, and emergency off functions as per IEC 60204 specifications. This amplifier has three categories for the stop function.

The product has two STO enable inputs. This device does not have an electrical isolation from the power output because of the STO function. The unit must be installed in a control cabinet with at least an IP 54 protection class. Its leakage current can be reduced by removing external EMC filters. This amplifier features a three-phase system with a B6 bridge in its power section.

The product is protected against direct contact by using a 30 mA RCD that is sensitive to all currents. This device is not designed for operation with an AC input. The unit must never be placed on a painted mounting plate. It is important to maintain a short wiring length between the amplifier and the isolating transformer. This servo amplifier turns itself off automatically due to overheating as a protection measure.
