The S7720C-SNF2-PM is a servo drive produced by Kollmorgen and supplied within the S700 Servo Drives series. It converts three-phase AC power into regulated output for brushless servomotors, providing the velocity and torque control needed in automated packaging machines, printing presses, and material-handling axes. Power electronics, signal processing, and safety functions are combined in a single enclosure so the drive can be installed on a cold-plate panel and linked to motion controllers through its built-in analog and digital I/O.
This model accepts mains voltages from 208...480 V, allowing connection to standard factory supplies without an autotransformer. The output stage switches at 8 kHz, which reduces motor current ripple and helps improve position accuracy. Under continuous operation, the inverter delivers 72 Arms, while short overloads up to 140 Arms accommodate rapid acceleration or tension spikes.
