Product Description:

The S7720C-SEF2-S4 digital servo amplifier from Kollmorgen should be used in combination with a suitable motor to avoid getting damage. This servo amplifier produces a high electric voltage during the operation phase. The product comes with Ethernet connectivity onboard. This device is equipped with a SERCOS 2 expansion card. The unit must at no time be used at a temperature higher than 55 °C. It must be re-formed when the storage period is over a year. This amplifier is environment-friendly because it is free of any hazardous substances.

The product uses fiber optic cables connected to the X13 and X14 connecting points with a F-SMA connector to receive and transmit data respectively. This device has separate LED indicators on its SERCOS 2 expansion card to indicate receiving and transmitting of telegrams. The unit portrays stop, emergency stop, and emergency off functions. It has three Stop categories and the category to be implemented is determined by the risk evaluation of the machine. This amplifier also supports a dual channel STO function.

The product shuts down the machine as fast as possible in a dangerous situation when the emergency stop function is implemented. This device requires very little wiring for the STO safety function. The unit may cause personnel injury due to dangerous movement if it is not handled properly. It has several warning signs on its housings and the machine in which it is installed that must be replaced if they are found to be damaged. This servo amplifier displays the F27 code on its LED display if the STO enable inputs are separated from the 24 VDC resulting in the motor running out of control.
