The S7720C-2CF2-PM is a servo drive manufactured by Kollmorgen for the S700 Servo Drives series. It conditions a three-phase AC line and delivers controlled current to servo or induction motors so that axes in packaging, printing, or robotics equipment can hold position and follow dynamic trajectories. The model supports drive-integrated safety, fieldbus expansion, and a cold-plate mounting option that permits direct heat transfer to the machine structure, making it suitable for space-constrained electrical panels.

This drive accepts a mains window of 208–480 V and provides a continuous output of 72 Arms, while transient motion peaks are handled by a reserve of 140 Arms. Current is modulated at an 8 kHz output-stage carrier so torque ripple on the motor shaft stays low. Dual-channel STO disconnects the power section without relays when a safety circuit opens. The internal conduction path shows a 6 V residual drop, and the design permits 30 switching cycles per hour without derating.
