As an axis supply module, it converts three-phase mains into regulated motor currents so servomotors can execute precise speed, torque, and positioning routines on automated machinery and packaging lines. Its dual-channel safe torque off circuitry permits electrical isolation of motor power without removing control logic, allowing rapid recovery after emergency stops while meeting functional safety requirements.

Under continuous load, the drive delivers 72 Arms, and the input stage is sized for 50 kVA so upstream power equipment can be sized accordingly. Short-term overloads are handled with up to 140 Arms, giving machines extra acceleration for indexing moves. The IGBTs operate at 8 kHz, which limits current ripple and acoustic noise, while a control section fed by 24 VDC keeps the processor and fieldbus active during mains outages.
