The drive is suited to coordinated motion tasks in pick-and-place modules, feeders, and converting lines that require fast response and stable closed-loop control. By linking directly to plant AC mains and exchanging real-time motion data over SERCOS, it supplies regulated power to servomotors while also offering built-in safety and I/O resources for wider machine integration.

This drive delivers a continuous output of 72 Arms, allowing high peak torque from matched motors without derating, and it can absorb up to 50 kVA of input power so bus capacitors stay charged during simultaneous axis accelerations. Operation across 208-480 V networks simplifies installation in mixed-voltage facilities and supports use in different plant power systems. A switching stage clocked at 8 kHz minimizes current ripple, improving motor smoothness and reducing acoustic emissions during steady-state and changing-speed operation. Functional safety is addressed through a dual-channel STO circuit that removes drive energy when either channel is interrupted.

The open-style housing is rated IP20, so the unit is mounted inside a cabinet where forced airflow from the optional fan controller keeps the cold plate and coated PCBs within temperature limits. Fiber-optic SERCOS links are terminated on an F-SMA connector and can be arranged in a ring topology, enabling deterministic motion coordination between connected axes. Dedicated position capture inputs accept incremental encoder or marker pulses at up to 1.5 MHz with 5 V logic, supporting accurate latch events for flying shears, registration marks, and synchronized cut-to-length processes.
