Product Description:
The Kollmorgen S7720A-PNF2-PM is a digital servo amplifier that features an LED display for indicating its status. The unit has electrostatically sensitive components. Inappropriate handling of the device unit can damage these components. The setup software for the product is DRIVEGUI.EXE. Care should be exercised to ensure that the device does not come into contact with highly insulating materials. The unit can be supplied by three-phase earthed industrial supply networks. A 24V holding brake can be controlled directly by the amplifier. There is a nameplate attached to the unit’s housing for identification.
The surface of the servo amplifier can be too hot when it is live. The surface temperature can be more than 80°C. Before touching the surface, it is crucial to measure the temperature and wait until it drops below 40°C. The device must be safely earthed to the PE busbar in the switch cabinet. Only well-qualified personnel must perform tasks like transport, assembly, setup, and maintenance of the servo amplifier. The device generally does not require maintenance. Only the manufacturer is permitted to clean the inside of the product. If the packaging of the unit is damaged, the product should be checked for visible damage. In the event of damage, the user must immediately inform the shipper and the manufacturer.
The S700 digital servo amplifier has an integrated position controller. The STO function of the unit must not be used if the amplifier is to be made inactive for cleaning, maintenance, and repair operations; long inoperative periods; or emergency-stop situations. Only 60°C or 75°C copper wires must be used for wiring the product. The device does not come with motor over-temperature sensing.
