Product Description:
The S7720A-NAF2-PM is a high-performance digital servo amplifier manufactured by Kollmorgen. The unit features autotuning and cogging suppression qualities. The user can store the device for up to one year without any restrictions. However, if the servo amplifier is stored for more than one year, its capacitors must be re-formed prior to setting up and operating the device. Only 60°C or 75°C copper wires should be used for wiring the device. The product does not come with motor over-temperature sensing. It should be noted that the package does not contain the mating Sub-D connectors.
The S700 digital servo amplifier can be set up with the DRIVEGUI.EXE software via the serial interface of a computer. The device has complete digital control. It has a digital current controller, an adjustable digital speed controller, an integrated position controller, and an integrated 24V step/direction interface. The unit has a level 2 pollution level as per IEC 60664-1 specifications. The product must be mounted in a vertical orientation. There is an in-built fan for cooling the device. There is a 3-character LED display to show the status of the unit after the 24V supply is turned on. The product weighs 13 kg.
The servo amplifier has a functional safe restart lock STO using which it can be secured in standstill mode. So, even when power is supplied, the drive shaft seems to be protected against an unintentional restart. The Stop function shuts down the equipment in normal operation. The Emergency Stop function shuts down the machine at the fastest possible time in a dangerous situation. The function is defined by IEC 60204 specifications. The principles of emergency stop devices and their functional aspects are defined in ISO 13850 specifications.
