Product Description:

The Kollmorgen S7720A-EIF2-S3 is a digital servo amplifier that should be operated with a compatible servomotor. The surface temperature of the device can exceed 80°C. So, before touching the unit, the user should measure the temperature and wait until the temperature of the servomotor has dropped below 40°C. The device must be earthed safely to the protective earth busbar in the switch cabinet. There is a high risk of electric shock. Personal protection cannot be guaranteed without low-resistance grounding. The first slot of the product is equipped with the I/O extension card. The unit has a built-in fan for cooling.

The rated input power of the S700 digital servo amplifier is 50 kVA for continuous operation. The product has a permitted switch on and off frequency of 30 1/h. The rated DC bus link voltage of the device is 290 V to 675 V. It should be noted that the device can be damaged if its permissible current or voltage values are exceeded. The unit should always be placed on a conductive surface. Without the manufacturer’s permission, the amplifier must not be modified. The warranty becomes void and the certificates become invalid upon opening the housing of the unit.

There are warning signs attached to the housing of the S700 digital servo amplifier. On the top of the device, there is a card reader meant for memory cards. The recommended tightening torque of the grounding bolt of the product is 3.5 Nm. A 24V holding brake with up to 3 A in the servomotor can be directly controlled by the device. A special 24V supply voltage is used. There is a nameplate on the unit for identification.
