The S77202-SNF2-F2 is a Kollmorgen servo drive belonging to the S700 Servo Drives series. Designed for closed-loop speed and torque control of synchronous and induction motors in automated machinery, the unit conditions three-phase mains power, generates PWM output, and manages dynamic braking elements. As a stand-alone cabinet device, it interfaces with matching feedback, brake resistors, and safety chains to coordinate axis motion in packaging, material handling, and process lines.
The drive handles a continuous phase current of 72 Arms, while transient demands up to 140 Arms are accommodated for acceleration or load shocks. Incoming supplies from 208 to 480 V are switched at a gradient of 4.8 kV/µs, a rise time that helps keep motor voltage distortion low when operating with the minimum recommended inductance of 0.61 mH. Protective logic is aided by dual-channel STO, so the motor torque path is interrupted without removing main power. A residual drop of 6 V across the output stage limits internal heating, and a 10 Ω external brake resistor can be wired to absorb regenerated energy.
