The S77202-NANA-PM is an AC servo drive manufactured by Kollmorgen for the S700 Servo Drives series. As a closed-loop amplifier, it delivers regulated three-phase power to synchronous or induction motors in automated machinery. Designed for cabinets where space and heat must be managed, the unit occupies a footprint measuring 190 mm in width, 244 mm in depth, and 386 mm in height, while its mass is 13 kg. Its housing limits airborne sound to 68 dB(A), which helps reduce noise in plant environments. With built-in EtherCAT and CANopen interfaces, the drive connects directly to real-time motion controllers without requiring an expansion card.

The power stage accepts line voltages from 208 to 480 V, allowing deployment on both 230 V and 400 V mains without tap changes. Under continuous duty, the inverter can deliver 72 Arms, while transient demands are handled by a peak current of 140 Arms during rapid acceleration or shock loads. At the input, the drive draws up to 50 kVA, a value used when sizing fuses and busbars. Insulated-gate transistors switch at 8 kHz, producing a smooth sinusoidal output spectrum that minimizes motor acoustic noise and torque ripple. The built-in dynamic brake channel uses a transistor shunt so regenerated energy is dissipated internally when required.

Low-voltage control electronics are fed by 24 VDC, keeping logic isolated from the line supply. Dual-channel STO meets the performance required for the drive’s SIL CL3 / PLe certification and enables safe torque shutdown without external contactors. For servo positioning tasks, the X5 incremental interface accepts 5 V differential signals up to 1.5 MHz, giving high-resolution feedback in fast gantry or spindle systems. The integrated brake relay can source 3 A, which is sufficient for most motor holding brakes. Standard PCBs protect against contaminants, and the enclosure remains suitable for compact cabinet installation.
