The S77202-NANA-PA servo drive is manufactured by Kollmorgen and belongs to the S700 Servo Drives series. Designed for cabinet installation, the unit conditions three-phase power and regulates current loops to command brushless servomotors used in packaging, forming, and inspection machinery. Dual-channel safe torque off is available to remove drive energy without opening the mains circuit, and onboard EtherCAT plus CANopen reduce the need for optional communication cards. With two analog command channels and dedicated digital I/O, the controller can exchange position or torque references directly with motion controllers while monitoring process interlocks.

The power section is rated for a continuous output of 72 A RMS, letting the drive deliver steady torque under normal loading. For rapid acceleration, it can supply 140 A RMS for short intervals. The accepted line voltage spans 208 to 480 V three-phase, and the input side is sized for a maximum apparent power of 50 kVA, so breakers and cabling must match this demand. Two differential analog inputs are sampled with a resolution of 16-bit across ±10 V, giving precise scaling of speed or torque commands, and two matching analog outputs return real-time feedback to the host controller. Three 5 V digital channels supplement the analog paths for enable, fault, or mode selection signals while the dual-channel STO meets functional safety requirements.

The physical envelope simplifies panel design. The width is 190 mm, the overall height including the cooling fan reaches 385 mm, and the depth with the power connector fitted is 243 mm. An auxiliary bus of 24 VDC supplies logic power, letting the control electronics stay active during mains isolation for diagnostics or fieldbus communication. Standard printed circuit boards, a fixed EtherCAT/CANopen interface, and the absence of expansion cards limit configuration steps, while the 5 V digital I/O level remains compatible with typical PLC sink or source inputs.
