Power devices switch at 8 kHz, giving current ripple that is low enough for high-resolution feedback loops. When idling with the motor disabled, the electronics dissipate only 24 W as quiescent heat, which helps limit enclosure temperature rise. Peak current can be sustained for 5 seconds, and the unit may be energized or de-energized up to 30 times per hour without violating thermal limits. Standard PCBs are fitted, and an internal slot carries a fan controller expansion card that controls cooling airflow.

For dynamic stops, the built-in brake transistor is rated for 8 kW of continuous brake power and interfaces with an external 10 ohm resistor, letting the axis decelerate heavy loads without regenerating into the line. Personnel safety is addressed with a dual-channel STO function that removes drive torque through both channels of the safety chain. The drive carries an IP20 enclosure rating, so it must be installed inside a closed cabinet while still allowing convenient wire access. The integral fan does not change the required mechanical clearances, and a switch-mode supply powers that blower through the dedicated controller card to keep internal components within temperature limits during repeated start-stop duty.
